The Last Train
最終電車
It's eleven o'clock at night. I am running to the subway station. My phone says three minutes until the last train. The streets of New York are quiet now, but the station lights are still bright.
夜11時です。私は地下鉄の駅に走っています。スマホには終電まであと3分と表示されています。ニューヨークの通りは静かですが、駅の明かりはまだ明るいです。
I make it to the platform just in time. The doors close behind me. Through the window, I watch the city lights disappear into the dark. It's a small victory, but it feels good.
ぎりぎりでホームに着きました。ドアが閉まります。窓から、街の明かりが暗闇に消えていくのを見ます。小さな勝利ですが、いい気分です。
